Version 0.6b Now Uploaded!


Greetings from Bidwell City, fellow Vigilantes!

I've uploaded the new build (Version 0.6b) of Vigilante Weekend for everyone to download! This one comes with quite a number of bug fixes, balances, and additions (full change log is below). An important addition to 0.6b is the new boss: Viper. So I hope you enjoy facing off against her! I wasn't able to get a decent tutorial up and running for this update, but I am intending on having that completed for the 0.7 or 0.8 update.

The next devlog post (in 2 weeks-ish) will be a roadmap for updates and what they will entail. The goal being that each month will be a version update (so May will be the version 0.7 update) that adds a new boss along with any bug fixes, difficulty balancing, and any other additions I have planned for those versions. Hopefully that makes sense, but seeing this is my first released game, I need to work on writing devlogs and change logs anyhow (especially change logs, since they are growing quite large when written out and it's just one big list).

Anyhow, the road to the fabled version 1.0 is well underway! So until next time, Vigilantes!

> Added New Boss: Viper.

> Fixed an issue with the audio system and volume settings. New audio implementation fixed issue and BGM volume setting now works properly.

> Death permanence is now working properly.

> Stamina Point (SP) mechanics are now working properly. A hero reduced to 0 SP will be unconscious instead of dead at end of combat and be inflicted with a random injury.

> Lowered the AP Cost of skills that were above a cost of 3 to balance combat and make the skills more attractive to use.

> Weakened enemy stats so new games are more forgiving/survivable.

> Weapon and Armor Mods are now functioning and can be unlocked with EP via their relevant menus.

> Changed the Recruit Hero event to be activated by spending Intel instead of activating on pure chance.

> Fixed missing line of sight collision for environment in the Aleksandr Boss Room.

> Changed the placement of the enemy spawn points in the Aleksandr Boss Room.

> Adjusted Patrol difficulty by lowering the maximum threat level range.

> Fixed a variety of issues with Resource Containers in Combat maps that didn't work. They will now properly add to Player Resources when opened in combat.

> Fixed an issue with the Death Blossom skill where it would target and damage the acting hero rather than the surrounding enemies.

> Fixed an issue where Rin's skill animation wouldn't play the appropriate sound effect.

> Fixed an issue with hero attributes not updating after using enhancement points.

> Fixed an issue where used items were not being removed after combat, resulting in infinite items.
